EveryDay Makeup Products

I thought I would give you a little sneak peak of what products I've been reaching for on an everyday basis at the moment. I have been keeping my makeup very fresh and simple lately and really to be honest I am going for more of natural look as it saves be a lot of time in the morning, so in reality I've been pretty lazy when it comes to my make up opps.

Here is a bunch of products that I find myself reaching for daily.

So firstly I am going to start off with what I have been using as my base; of course I have been using my Benefit Porefessional I have done a post on it before so I won't ramble on too much but I love this it minimises pores and evens out the skin amazingly! For my foundation I have been using a BB cream from the body shop and it is the Tea Tree Flawless BB Cream, it a really nice coverage not to heavy but you can build it up which I really like about it, it is also really good for blemished skin as it has tea tree in it!

For concealer I have been using the Collection Lasting Perfection to get rid of my dark circles and any of imperfections that I have going on. Too set all of that I have been using the Soap And Glory One Heck Of A Blot powder, this takes away any shine that I have but doesn't make me look completely matte, and that what i really like with this powder.

Now lets talk blusher! I have been loving this cream blusher by NYX lately it is in the shade Natural and I love the formula of this it gives a really nice dewey look to the skin and is just the right shade for a no make up look! I like to apply this blush with my fingers and then blend out with a beauty blender as I find if I apply with a brush I end up getting way to much on the brush because of how pigmented it is.

I find myself everyday reaching for my mac quad, all the colours are perfect for everyday use and I also use the bottom left shade for my eyebrows. I have done a whole post on my mac quad so if you want to read more into that here is the link ( mac quad ) . I find all of these colours work really well together and and I can build them up to a brown smokey eye or just keep it really natural.

Of course lastly I have to mention what I have been wearing on my lips lately, and the one lipstick I have have been reaching for nearly ever day is Julianne's Nude from the Loréal Paris Collection Privee. I am a big fan of pinky/nude lipsticks and I would say this is in my top 5, I have been reaching for this over a lot of other lipsticks lately.

All Things Pink

I am a lover of pink lipstick, well anything pink in that matter but anyway I thought I would do a post on some of my favourite pink lipsticks. I would normally go for more of a pink/nude than might pink but if I am feeling daring I may go for a brighter pink such as.. Tease from Topshop; I really like this bright pink as it is matte so I feel like it is a look more flattering for my complexion as I am very pale,  yes I am still extremely pale even though it is summer but I would not say there is much chance of getting a very good tan in England!

Another one of my most favourite lipsticks is Snob by Mac, so many people seem to love this shade. It's a really pretty pink but isn't to bright, it seems to be just the right pinky shade for me. Snob is a Satin finish lipstick so it has a little bit of a shine to it but nothing super glossy; I do sometimes want to make it a little bit more glossy so I like to add a light pink lipstick other the top of it!

Another one of my all time favourite pinks isn't really a lipstick but it is in fact a chubby stick, I am a big fan of chubby sticks especially the Revlon Colour-Burst ones! I have the shade 105 which is a Lacquer Balm, in this Revlon chubby stick range they have matte ones swell as lacquer ones! I really like the lacquer balms are they are really glossy. The shade I have is a pale pearly pink, which is really pretty and looks lovely with a smokey eye.

It is also one of them lip products that is really easy to apply as in if you quickly need to touch it up you can do it without a mirror, or if you are in a rush you can just slap it on and you are good to go!

Okay I think that enough about pink lipsticks for today! Thanks a lot for reading this post.

My Mac Quad

Lately I have been getting fed up of having to carry around my big pro palette so I decided to go into mac and get the Quad pro palette. I find it so much easier for travelling having a quad instead of carrying around 15 eye shadows when I'm probably only going to use 3 or 4 of them.

The colours I have in my quad are Orb, All That Glitters, Omega and Mulch. As you can see Orb and Omega are matte. I like to use Orb as a base colour or as a highlight on my brow bone or in the inner corner of my eye, I really like orb because it isn't too much of an intense highlight but it still does the job. I use Omega to fill in my brows, it comes in really handy being able to have my brow colour in with my eye shadows because then it's one less product for me to have to have in my makeup bag.  The next two colours have a little bit of simmer/glitter in them. All That Glitters is probably one of my all time favourite MAC shades, well I think everyone loves it! It is just really simple, you can just put it all over your eye and then you are done! But say if you want a bit more definition you could add Mulch into the crease or outer corner of the eye to make it more smokey. Also Mulch is a really nice shade to put all over the eye lid and then smoke it out at the edges, it works really well for a simple and quick smokey eye.

I feel as if this is the perfect quad for me, it makes it so much easier having my eyeshadows in one place and in such a compact way. It's the perfect size when travelling and for my make up bag!

The Body Shop Tea Tree Range

I have always loved the body shop as a brand, but until a few months ago I had not tried any of their Tea Tree range. Lately my skin has been struggling with breakouts, so I wanted to try something that is affordable but is also going to work. Even though my skin suffers from breakouts and can be oily sometimes I have to be very careful because I have extremely sensitive skin.

I wanted to try products that had tea tree in them because I know that tea tree is really good for your skin. I was watching a youtube video of somebody's skin care routine and they were using the body shop tea tree toner and had said that it had improved their skin a lot, so the next time I went into town I made my way to the body shop to get this toner!

I normally find that toners can be harsh on my skin and that when I put them on the tend to sting a little bit but I didn't have that problem with this toner. This toner is really affordable as it is only £5. I am now on my second bottle of this and I have really been enjoying using this in my skin care routine.

By using the tea tree toner my skin was starting to clear up, so i decided to try a couple of tea tree cleansers.

The first one the tried was the Cool & Creamy Wash this claims to " Get skin spotlessly clean without over drying" and I would say it does that it didn't get rid of all of my spots but it certainly helped to clear my skin up. It also didn't dry my skin out which I was worried about because sometimes tea tree can do that to your skin. The Cool & Creamy Wash is £5 as well so this is also really affordable.

The other cleanser that I have tried is the Skin Clearing Foaming Cleanser, and I have to say that this one is my favourite out of the two. Personally I prefer a cleanser that foams up but thats just what I like.  This Cleanser says that is is suitable for blemished skin, sometimes cleansers can sting a little if you do have blemished skin, but this one doesn't sting at all. It also claims to "remove impurities and excess oil, for clearer looking skin." This makes my skin less oily and has really helped making my skin look a lot clearer.

I really like using a tea tree face cleanser because it makes you feel really refreshed once you have used it.

In the summer I never really want to wear a full coverage foundation as they are so heavy on the skin, but this year I discovered this after watching one of Zoella's videos and she used this. Ever since I got the Tea Tree Flawless BB Cream I have used it everyday. It has just even coverage to cover any blemishes and dark circles, it is lovely and light on the skin and it doesn't really look like you have anything on. As this had tea tree in it as well it is also good for your skin.

I have it in the shade 01 and this is the perfect shade for me. The shade range isn't too great as it only comes in 3 shades, but it is a new product so I'm sure they will bring out some more shades. This is also very affordable as it is £8 which I think is very reasonable for a really good BB cream!

hope you enjoyed this post and I will see you soon. Please don't forget to comment and follow!

Current Beauty Favourites

I have had most of these products in my make-up collection for a while now so instead of writing about them individually I thought I would do a post on my current beauty favourites. So I can group these all together and do a mini review on each.

I am going to start with the Loreal Paris True Match Foundation, I have been using this foundation for a few months now and I have got to say it is probably my favourite foundation. I really like the formula of this as it isn't to thick. It gives a medium coverage but you can build it up to a higher coverage. I have it in the colour N1 which is the perfect match for my skin. It is also long wearing I usually just have to touch up around my nose like I normally do with other foundations.

The powder I have been LOVING lately is the 'One Heck Of A Blot' powder from Soap And Glory. I have only had this powder for a few weeks but I am in love with already, I actaully prefer this the the Rimmel London Stay Matte powder *shock horror*. This powder makes my foundation last a lot longer than it normally does, it also does not make me look like I have powder on as it is very fine. This powder is amazing if you get an oily shine through out the day.

I don't really wear that much blusher but I really want to start wearing it more and then a friend suggested that I try this Chanel powder blush in '72 Rose Initial'. It's a really pretty light pink with a little bit of shimmer running through it and I really like this blush, I have worn it everyday since I got it.

I have already done a whole post on the NYX Butter Gloss' but I have really been loving the shade Vanilla Cream Pie, its a really pretty nude pink, which is lovely for spring. As I have said before I love the formula for these are they aren't to sticky but are still really creamy. Here is the link to the post I done about the NYX Butter Glosses. http://all-thinggs-lovely.blogspot.co.uk/2014/03/nyx-butter-glosses-worth-hype.html

Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint By Barry M.

Okay yes I admit it... I should of listened to everyone when they said how amazing these nail polishes are! So I was recently in boots doing a little bit of make-up shopping as you do, and I was looking for some new nail polishes to add to my collection. So I went on over to the Barry M stand and picked up three of these Gelly nail polishes, that everyone has been raving about for months! The three shades I picked up are (from right to left) PAPYA, BLUEBERRY & LYCHEE.

The polishes are a bargin at only £3.99 each and I took advantage of boots 3 for 2 offer once again. So it was even better for my bank balance.

At first I was a bit worried that the formula would be on the gloopy side and take ages to dry, but I was pleasantly suprised!

All polishes applied really well and the consistency is just right. I used two coats when applying these. These polishes also dry really quickly which is very handy if you are like me and HATE waiting for your nails to dry!

My nails were chip free for about three days, which I think is pretty long wearing for a drugstore nail polish. Then when I removed the nail polish it came off so easily which is good becasue then you don't have to sit there for ages scrubing your nails!

I am really happy with these nail polishes and I am sure I will be adding a few more of these to my collection!

NYX Butter Glosses: Worth The Hype?

So last week I went to professional beauty at the excel expedition centre and I came across the NYX stand so I just had to try out these butter glosses after hearing so much about them.

I was so happy to finally get my hands on these after hearing so many good things about them and I can confirm... they do not disappoint!

This is what NYX have to say about the butter glosses:
Buttery soft and silky smooth, our scrumptious new Butter Lip Gloss tastes as sweet as a sugar cookie and makes your lips look downright luscious. Swipe it on alone or over your favourite lipstick for creamy sheer to medium coverage that melts onto your lips and is never sticky.

In my opinion, these do all of those things beautifully. I love the scent and texture of these glosses they are so different to anything I have in my collection. These glosses are super creamy and smooth, the texture does have a tiny bit of stickyness to it. But I personally love the balance, it allows them to be smooth and lovely to wear, but also keeps them on your lips for longer. I found these glosses really moisturising aswell.

There are 12 shades in this collection and they retail for £5. The majority of these shades are creamy nudes and neutrals, and a couple of more bold shades in there aswell. I only have two shades at the moment 'Vanilla Cream Pie' (the pink shade) and 'Apple Strudel' (the peach shade) but I will defintely be buying some more of these soon, I think I have found a new favourite and now feel the need to buy the whole collection.

Hope you enjoyed this post, I'll see you next week with another post!

REVIEW: The Body Shop Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder

I have never been one of them girls that simply has to have a bronzer in her makeup bag. I have always been more into blush than a bronzer mainly because I could never find a bronzer that was light enough for my skin. Until I heard about this little beauty from the Body Shop.

The packaging is a simple and light brown compact (which was a nightmare to photograph as everything was refelecting off it) inside there is all so a decent sized mirror. Apart from the little honey comb pattern embossed onto it it really does look simple. The compact is also sturdy so good for when you just need to throw it into your makeup bag.
It comes in four shades: Light (the one I have), fair, medium and dark. These are fab if you are pale because you really can't get it looking 'too much' unless you literally pile it on.

The powder is really fine, easy to apply and is all so really easy to blend. As this bronzer is mattee it looks more natural than anything with shimmer in it. That being said when I first opened the bronzer there were a few specs of glitter but once I had sweep my finger across the powder they went.

I sweep it across the high points of my face for a real subtle look of 'tan' or under my cheek bones (get that fish face out) for a more contoured look.
I have only been using this for a couple of week now and it has already become my favourite bronzer.

You can get this bronzer from the body shop for £13 which I think is a really good price this product is so good and once I have hit pan I am sure I will be buying another one.

Benefit POREfessional

So I recently got Benefit POREfessional after seeing everyone hype about it for ages. I can safely say that this product is worth thr hype!

I have used this primer everyday since I got it. I am used to having my makeup slide off my face as I have oily skin but using this primer makes my makeup last all day! My makeup around my nose normally can go a little cakey which is not a look I like to go for but by using POREfessional this has not been happening.

As the name suggests this primer also minimises the look of large pores. The main reason for using a primer is to help even out any inperfections, and create a more even canvas and a good base for applying foundation. Primers are also good for making your makeup last longer and looking freash throughout the day.

The POREfessional comes in a retro looking turquoise tube with a small screw lid.
The primer it's self has a pale beige tinit to it, but when you blend it, it then turn transparant, so it is suitable for all skin types. It leaves the skin feeling silky soft but with a matte finish.

I would recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a long wearing primer. I will be repurchasing this in the future, I can see this being one of favourite products for a long time!

Favourite Lip Colours For Spring

I know it's only January but yes I am already thinking about spring and summer. After looking at some make-up collections for this spring and summer I went through my lipstick collection to see what I have that will go to with the trends this year. Looking at collections from brands like Dior, Chanel and NARS. You can see from these collections that pastels are going to be a thing this spring. Dior's collection this year is probably one of my favourites and I can not wait to get my hands on it!

So I have narrowed it down to three of my favourite pastle lipsticks I own and I have choosen all mac because I know alot of people including myself love the brand.

From left to right - Coasta Chic, Up The Amp and Snob.
I have choosen these three shades as they are really pretty pastles and are lovely for the spring and summer. The first one on the left is Coasta Chic and it is a really pretty coral. The second shade is Up The Amp which is a light purple and this looks so nice with a bronze smokey eye, and I really love this look in the spring and summer, and finally the last shade is Snob and this is just a really pretty pinky nude, which looks lovely with most types of eye make-up.

All of these shades are pretty bright but in the summer I tend to wear more of a bright lip and a simple eye makeup.

Fudge Urban Hair Products

I have recently been trying out some new hair products, and the products I have been turning to a lot lately are the Fudge Urban Iced Raspberry & Vanilla hair spray and the Fudge Urban Sea Salt spray.

I am not noramlly a lover of hair spray because I hate the smell of them and I could never find one that didnt go sticky or hard, but this hair spray is amazing! One of the first things I noticed when trying this is that it smells so nice which is always a bonus, it holds the style of my hair really well without making my hair go really hard, the hair spray is just an all round good product which I will be re purchasing in the future!

Fudge Urban Hair Spray.
One thing I am a big fan of is Sea Salt sprays but I find it really hard to fine a good one becasue they can often leave your hair feeling dry. But not with the Fudge Urban one it adds the right amount of texture to your hair without look greasy or feeling dry or crunchy. The sea salt spray dosent leave my hair in loads of knots either which is good because some other sea salt spray i have tried have left my have with so many tangles! I would recommend this product if you like messy beach like hair with a mattee finish this product is really good for bulding up volume.

December Favourites

I know I am a little late to post my december favourites, but lets just say I'm not the best person for updating my blog... but that is going to change in 2014 I am going to try and update my blog every other week maybe even more. So I'm going to get on with this now so here is my December favouites...

DECEMBER FAVOURITES

In december I tried out a few new beauty products, I also went through my make-up collections to see what products I had forgotten about so I am going to start with skin care and I have one product for this and it is the 'Dermalogica Clear Start, Oil Clearing Matte Moisturizer' I have been using this moisturizer for a few months now and I am really starting to see a difference in my skin. I stopped using this for about a week and my skin was so much more oilier than it is when I use this, I have tried some other matte moisturizers in the past and they have broken me out, but this one doesnt so it is great. I also really like it aswell because it has an spf 15 in it, so when the sun starts to come out and it get a bit warmer my skin will also be protected.

Dermalogica Clear Start, Oil Clearing Matte Moisturizer

The next product is a mascara from 'Catrice Cosmetics' I had never heard of this brand until my friend sent me this mascara. But this mascara is amazing it gets to all of the lashes and stays on all day without flaking, which always a good thing with mascaras. I love how long it makes my eyelashes and it holds the curl really aswell it is just an all round good mascara.
Allround Mascara Waterproof - 010

I have saved the best product to last and this is by far my favourite product of the month, and this is the......... Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette. I love this palette so much the colours are so pretty, they are warm toned and have a rose gold look to them and they are soooooo pretty! The colours in this palette as so much more blenderable than the colours in the other two palettes so they are easier to work with. This is defentaily my favourite naked palette. I have also been loving the Primer Potion in Eden, this makes my eyeshadow last all day without any creases.

Uraban Decay Naked 3

Thanks for reading this blog post, hope you all had a good christmas and new year! Hopefully I will be updating next week so byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
